Innovation and Technology
CoolSwingCC® is a new OMV technology that reduces the energy demand of CO2 capture by more than 50%. It replaces the traditionally energy‑intensive solvent regeneration with an electrified low‑temperature process, currently being tested for industrial use at the OMV Carbon Capture Innovation Center.

Human Rights Focal Persons
OMV applies a robust framework for managing human rights impacts and risks. In 2025, OMV emphasized capacity-building by delivering tailored training to 23 newly appointed human rights focal persons. These focal persons play a key role in conducting due diligence at operating facilities, ensuring that human rights standards are effectively upheld on the ground.

Community Grievance Mechanisms
OMV has established Community Grievance Mechanisms (CGMs) at all operated energy assets, refineries, and the Brazi power plant to address concerns from affected communities. 100% of the CGMs are assessed against the UN Effectiveness Criteria. More details can be found here.
