The proportion of ownership corresponds to the proportion of voting rights of the non-controlling interests (NCI) in all cases.
The main activities of the OMV Petrom Group are exploration and production of hydrocarbons (in Romania and Kazakhstan), refining of crudes (in Romania), marketing of petroleum products (in Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Moldova) and of natural gas as well as production and the sale of electricity (in Romania).
Since October 29, 2020 Borealis Group is fully-consolidated, following the acquisition of an additional 39% stake in Borealis AG (see Note 3 – Changes in group structure). Borealis Group is a leading provider of base chemicals, polyolefins, and fertilizers and is the second-largest polyolefin producer in Europe and among the top-ten producers globally. The majority of Borealis’ production is located in Europe, with three overseas manufacturing facilities in the United States, one in Brazil and one in South Korea.
SapuraOMV group is an oil and gas company based in Malaysia with strong growth prospects consisting of sizeable discovered resources and a strong portfolio of exploration prospects. Apart from Malaysia, it has access to exploration blocks in New Zealand, Australia and Mexico.
Gas Connect Group operates a natural gas high-pressure pipeline grid in Austria, markets transportation capacity to meet domestic natural gas demand and supports export to Europe and acts as distribution or market area manager throughout the Federal territory of Austria. In 2020, the Gas Connect Group has been reclassified to assets and liabilities held for sale (see Note 20 – Assets and liabilities held for sale).
